Revolut has announced the establishment of a new Western European headquarters in Paris and confirmed that it has applied for a French banking license.

The move represents a step forward in the company’s efforts to expand its operations across Europe and strengthen its presence in key markets.

The new office in Paris will manage Revolut’s activities in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland and Germany.

This development is intended to support the company’s growth in Western and Southern Europe and build on existing operations across the region.

France has been selected as the location for the new headquarters due to strong customer growth, with over five million users currently based in the country.

More than 1.6 million of these customers joined in 2024. Revolut cited the strength of the local financial sector and the regulatory environment as further reasons for the decision.

Revolut will continue to operate from its existing base in Lithuania, which remains its centre for Eastern European operations.

The company stated that this dual-office structure will help improve coordination with regulators and enable more locally focused financial services across the European Economic Area.

Revolut said this move reflects its long-term intention to expand its banking services in Europe while aligning more closely with the needs of customers in different markets.
